RIASA Graduates Fly to Europe to Sign for Club in Finland

As we celebrate a great end to an unusually challenging year RIASA are pleased to announce that recently graduated student Adam Szymaszek and 2020 graduate Victor Davis have just last week, finally been able to enter Finland to begin training with division 2 side Kemi FC in readiness for their pending appearances with the first team later this month.

Both Goalkeeper Adam and Left winger Victor Davis were originally due to leave for Finland last year but due to the Covid pandemic plans had to be cancelled and so this long awaited chance is all the more pertinent.

Academy Director Mark Ellis said:

“This is now a perfect opportunity for both players to put themselves in the shop window, whilst at the same time assist Kemi in gaining some much needed points on the scoreboard and league table to keep them out of the relegation zone.”

“I am especially pleased this year that we have still been able to provide these opportunities.  The unwavering commitment, perseverance, planning, and constant adaptation of my staff team to this is testament to the RIASA brand and our belief that nothing ever beats us”!!

Adam and Victor follow in a long line of players who have begun their playing careers in Europe after studying at RIASA and so once again we look forward to following their journeys and wish them well in their endeavours to pursue a career in the ‘beautiful game’.
