RIASA 2023 Graduates Heading to Play in Finland

As the Finnish football season gets ready to kick off this Saturday 29th April P S Kemi Kings will see another four recently graduated RIASA students join the squad.

Centre Forward Logan Lafferty, Right Back John Goecke, Left Winger Christian Albright and Midfielder Pongsa Tayjaysanant will also be joined by returning former RIASA players Goalkeeper Ethan Krabbendam, and Centre Forward Cederick Fenelon.

Masters graduate and Centre Forward John Mavardis will also join the team later in the season.

The squad line up will also include local Finnish players and two international team members from the Ukraine and Nigeria as they aim for first position and promotion, improving on last season when they were runners up in the Finnish 3rd division.

The team this year will be coached by the Finnish U19s Futsal National Coach Jani Paananen and his team.

Mark Ellis who is a majority shareholder and Director of the club in relation to the new players said.

“This is a great opportunity and experience to sample a taste of what it’s like to play in Europe and really test themselves”. 

“At RIASA we base our training and games on development, in opposition at Kemi this is about getting results. Now is the time to apply all those learnt skills and technical knowledge in each and every game because these factors are the difference between win or lose”.
