It’s that time of the year again – RIASA are heading to Europe!
We are delighted to announce that between Tuesday 5th March and Friday 8th March 2024, RIASA will be heading to Eerikkilä – a state-of-the-art training facility home to the Finnish Football Association.
Situated only an hour from Helsinki, Eerikkilä will play host to three RIASA matches during the trip. We will be taking two squads to Finland in the form of a 1st and 2nd team, however due to the busy schedule we will ensure that most players have the opportunity to take the field on two occasions during the trip.
Our students can look forward to competing against a range of opposition, providing a fresh new test of skill for those looking to take steps into the game – PIF Pargas, from the fourth tier of Finnish football, will face our 1st team on Wednesday 6th March. Two more competitive fixtures will take place on Thursday 7th March – we play fifth-tier side MaPS in the afternoon, with a night fixture scheduled against SalPa, whose senior team play in the second tier.
A selection of brand-new kits will be on show for our 2024 European Tour: A clean, all-black strip will be making its debut, alongside a vibrant red, blue and white away kit. Our shot-stoppers can also look forward to two new bright GK kits – keep an eye out on socials for the reveal!
Alongside our fixture schedule, we will take part in multiple training sessions during our stay, making the most of the world-class facilities on offer. Players will also be provided with meals during the trip, alongside access to saunas and gym equipment for personal development and training.
At RIASA, we believe that these yearly showcase tours can create pathways into European football for our students, giving them the chance to display their immense talent on an international stage. In collaboration with the UEFA-standard coaching already provided at RIASA, the tour highlights the unmatched benefits of our bespoke programme.
