Bodington Football Hub, which is also known as Sports Park Bodington is a brand-new purpose built state-of-the-art football facility which officially opened November 2022.
Located in Weetwood, minutes from the thriving student scene of Headingley, Bodington Football Hub has been transformed and developed into a ‘Premier League’ standard facility that includes three full size LED floodlit 3G Football Turf Pitches, a four-team changing pavilion with community café, meeting spaces, and a large accessible car park.
In 2022, RIASA announced that it would be relocating from its current location where the football and academic programme has run for several years. Starting from September 2023, RIASA will be proudly holding all of their training sessions and competitive fixtures at this stunning new complex which offers more opportunities than ever before.
This brand-new sporting hub which cost an estimated £8.4m received partial funding from The Premier league, The FA and Government’s Football Foundation. These bodies strive for the absolute best, we know that we are lucky to be able to develop in such a professional setting.
By moving to this new location we are offering our student-athletes the best possible experience when they join RIASA. The football aspect of the programme allows any student on the RIASA programme to train 4 times per week for two hours and compete between 1-2 times per week.
We give players the time they need to develop, learn and grow on the pitch. The newly opened Bodington Football Hub will help us deliver our strategic football plan through-out the season.
