A very good start by both teams as we were playing a very strong athletic competitive team in this league who were very assured in possession of the ball.

We worked hard and quickly to close them down and press them to deny time and space on the ball.

Our first initial chance came in the 10th minute of the game with good work by Chris Allen who linked well with Paul Mcfarlane to play the ball out to Israel Kinyolo to whip in a good cross which no one connected with.

On 13 mins another good build up play saw Chris Allen play a ball out wide to Tristan Knudsen who played the through ball for Christian Mckeown who controlled in the box before smashing into the bottom corner.

We continued to dictate the flow of the game creating more opportunities, and were unlucky not to score as Tristan Knudsen and Christian Mckeown both hit the post before half time.

On 41 mins we managed to get a 2nd as Chris Allen played Matty Weiner in down the right as he overlapped to cut inside the gkp before slotting the ball home.

2nd half :

Again both teams started well as Chorley attempted to get back in the game.

We were strong and solid defensively, whilst still creating chances ourselves on 51 minutes, where Immanuel Kinuthia cut in from the left hand side to shoot, forcing their GKp into a good save low down to his right.

As Chorley pressed us hard for the last 30 minutes, we seemed to tire and dropped off them.

They took advantage to score on 61 minutes.

The game became more stretched as we looked to maintain our lead and they looked for an equalizer.

This soon came, courtesy of a very dubious penalty call which they converted on 82 minutes.

Minutes later, Chorley scored again as they put away that which looked like a winner, due to slight confusion in our box which Chorley’s Centre Forward capitalised on.

With the game coming to a close, we poured on the pressure and we earned ourselves a well-deserved equaliser in the 93rd Min as Christian Mckeown broke into the box to score from Matty Weiner’s cross.

Full Time  (3-3)
