Matthew joined RIASA early March 2020 and brings an abundance of experience in marketing and a real passion for football and sport to the organisation.
Matthew, a graduate of the University of Huddersfield, studied Sports Promotion & Marketing BA (Hons), which involved marketing strategy around sport.
After graduating from university, Matthew gained invaluable marketing experience working in a mixture of fast-paced in-house positions. Within these job roles, he has mainly worked across digital marketing, involving SEO, Website Management, social media Marketing, Content Marketing and Digital Acquisition.
Speaking to Matthew on his arrival, here’s what he had to say about joining RIASA:
“I’m excited to be part of the team here at RIASA. This programme allows student athletes to develop to their maximum potential but also provides a dual recognised degree. The programme is fantastic and everybody who is involved cares about each student athlete and the personal journey they embark on when landing in the UK to join RIASA. I can’t wait to get stuck into my new role and meet the student athletes. I’m looking forward to watching individuals develop and hopefully I can film them scoring some great goals.”
Matthew will be a great asset to RIASA, he will be managing our website, social media channels and content marketing. Matthew will be working closely with the rest of the RIASA team to help our student athletes reach their full potential on and off the field. He will also play a crucial part in helping extend RIASA’s brand awareness in the UK and stateside.
