This week saw the opportunity for 18 RIASA student-athletes to travel to Middlesborough F.C.’s incredible £7m training facility, Rockliffe Park, to take on the academy team. The trip was part of RIASA’s monthly showcase game initiative in which selected student-athletes are given the chance to play against professional football clubs’ academy or reserve teams.
In order to reward hard work, great performances and commitment, the RIASA showcase team was a mixture of all age groups throughout the academy, including some freshmen who have made incredible progress throughout their short time with the academy!
