RIASA are pleased to officially announce that we are expanding our academy to offer a Postgraduate degree in MA International Sports Business, taking in place in London and delivered by Richmond, The American International University in London. Building on the success of our undergraduate programme, the one-year master’s programme provides male and female students with an opportunity to gain first-hand experience of sports business and football culture in the UK.
As with our undergraduate programme in Leeds, the new London programme will be the world’s only opportunity to earn a US-accredited Masters degree in MA International Sports Business with transferable credits alongside a high-level soccer development programme, playing in showcase games against professional academies in the U.K. and Europe, in addition to weekly games in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) league.
Not looking to do a master’s degree just yet? Well, you can also study for an Undergraduate degree in BA International Sports Management in London, just as you would on our Leeds programme!
BA Degree in International Sports Management is a unique undergraduate programme that will enable you to fully develop your soccer potential as you earn an American-accredited degree. In addition to graduating with a BA in International Sports Management, you will also gain an FA Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football and be exposed to the extensive networks of our team of ex-professional footballers and UEFA-licensed coaches.

Research carried out by Sports England demonstrates the gross value added (GVA) sports to the British economy is £20 Billion that sport-related jobs were approximately 2.3% of all employment in England in 2013 There are excellent opportunities for graduates to work internationally, as the sports business is a truly global industry.
Our one-year master’s programme in International Sports Business can help you develop your career. You will learn the latest practices and skills required for employment and you will also have the chance to get hands-on work experience in a three-month integrated internship in London. Our course offers improved career opportunities with the added bonus of experiencing the great city of London, the home of world-renowned sporting organisations and clubs, and host city to many high profile sporting events.
An incredible university soccer programme
RIASA London student-athletes will partake in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues and play against other universities from across the U.K. In addition, all student-athletes will get the opportunity to play in RIASA’s infamous showcase games against some of the country’s most accomplished professional academies and reserve teams. If that wasn’t enough to get you excited about the programme, just like our Leeds-based undergraduate programme, you will also be given the opportunity to play in exit trials in Scandinavia at established semi-pro and pro clubs. At which you can gain experience, contacts and opportunities for a future in professional soccer.
A unique opportunity for female soccer players
Nowhere else on the planet can talented female soccer players have the opportunity to play at a high level against professional club academies and prestigious university soccer teams whilst earning an American-accredited Masters degree. We encourage you to complete your application as early as possible even if you are completing your undergraduate programme of study. Admission is determined by your academic qualification (your undergraduate degree achievements), your athletic review, which consists of an attendance at one of the RIASA on the Road Events or evaluation of your submitted athletic training video and your completed physical evaluation form.
