Why Experience RIASA?

LImted to 25 students per event: so we get to know you and you get to know us!

Adam Szymaszek, 2017 GK prospect – Chicago, IL

“To start off I am extremely happy with the opportunity you gave me during this camp in St.Louis. This exposure camp was one of the best I have attended in a long time. What I really liked is how many players there were. Some college camps I went to, there were 100+ and the coaches won’t see every player perform. You’ve shown that you really wanted someone to succeed by talking to them independently instead of the college camps I went to, were none of the coaches talked any of the players. I enjoyed all the training sessions we did especially the 5v5 because as a goalie you are going to get many shots at you testing your reaction.”

Why the “Experience RIASA” Event?

The event should not be viewed as an ID camp. This event is designed specifically about getting to know you and making sure if this specific program is a good fit for you –  we are seeking passionate students of the game, interested in a top quality education, as well as students who value social and cultural opportunities. We seek a variety of players as we have a number of teams across the professional academy. The Experience RIASA event will help give you a perspective if this program is the right fit for you and your family.

The “Experience RIASA” event is a more in depth opportunity to get to know the you as an individual than watch a ‘one off’ showcase game. The event is more about you getting to know RIASA on a personal level.

Who Should Attend?

  • Academically qualified students who meet the admission requirements of the University. Please make sure you know what the academic requirements are before attending the ‘Experience RIASA’ event.
  • RIASA is seeking talented players, who are academically eligible, at the US National Academy level, ODP State and Regional Level or playing for a top Premier Soccer club.
  • RIASA understands that clubs may restrict National Academy players attending these events. However, as we are a University program you should be able to get permission to attend and play over the course of the weekend, as you are a prospective University student.
  • Students looking to make the RIASA Elite or Club Summer Experience Program.

What Makes the 'Experience RIASA' – Event Different?

  • Learn about the American Undergraduate degree program.
  • Our focus is on your experience at the event; getting to know you, helping you get an understanding of the program and providing you with a quality experience as you learn about RIASA and we learn about you.
  • A limited number of students on the RIASA Experience Camp allows for true assessment of students’ abilities and suitability for the program. It is not a ‘cattle market’ ID camp. (Maximum 25 students per camp)
  • Key assessors present: Football Director from England, the International Football Director along with RIASA scouts.
  • Formal as well as informal interactive sessions. Students and parents can ask the necessary questions regarding the program over the course of two days.
  • Understand playing the RIASA way, through technical activities as you work with the RIASA Football Director and/or coaching staff.
  • RIASA staff will assess prospective students for the program through a variety of activities and not a ‘one off’ showcase game. Sessions: technical, small sided, 8 v 8, 11 v 11 and outside showcase game within the three-day sessions.
